Nicola Barber

Board Member
Nicola Barber, Chartered Fellow (FCIPD), Chair of the CIPD NI Branch. Nicola is an experienced HR professional with more than 20 years senior experience in a range of industries and sectors. With a passion for learning, Nicola holds Master’s Degrees in HR and in Housing Studies and is a qualified Mediator, Coach and Mentor. Nicola is committed to voluntary and community work and has been on a Board with local Housing Associations for more than 12 years. Nicola has worked previously in social housing both in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Nicola is a Member of the Audit, Risk & HR Subcommittee

Brenda Morgan

Board Member
Brenda Morgan MBE has over 30 years’ experience of business development and commercial relationships in the tourism, travel and aviation industry. Brenda has worked with key stakeholders within the Travel and Tourism Industry reaching across the public and private sector and was elected on the council for the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 8 years. She was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for her Services to Economic Development to Northern Ireland in 2016. Brenda is also a founding member and Chair of NI Tourism Alliance since 2018 and currently sits on the Audit, Risk and HR sub committee.

Jane Shaw

Treasurer
Jane has worked in business and finance for over 20 years, currently Managing Director of The Elmfield Institute, an organisation supporting wellbeing in the private and voluntary sectors. Jane is Chair of the Finance Subcommittee.

Brian Reid

Board Member
Brian is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) and Chartered Management Institute (FCIM) and has an MBA from the Open University. Brian has over 30 years’ experience in residential surveying in N Ireland and is the Regional Development Director for e.surv Chartered Surveyors, the largest firm of residential surveyors in the UK. He is also a Member of RICS NI Board and a Valuation member of the NI Valuation Tribunal. Brian is a member of the Development and Maintenance Sub Committee.
Bob Hopkin

Bob Hopkin

Board Member
Bob has 33 years experience in the construction industry and is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) since 2006. He also holds a Business Masters degree, with distinction, in Development and Innovation. For the past 21 years ago, he continues to work for Europe's largest public social housing provider, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE), holding various technical management positions. Bob currently sits on the Development and Maintenance Sub Committee.
Owen

Owen Judge

Board Member
Owen is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He currently works as an Internal Audit Manager at Pearson, specialising in finance, technology controls, digital transformation, and governance across global operations. Owen brings experience from previous roles at JP Morgan and KPMG, where he led IT audits and risk management initiatives. He joined the NB Housing Board in July 2023 and sits on the Audit, Risk and Human Resources Sub Committee.

Donal Conway

Chief Executive Officer
After qualifying with a BSC Honours Degree in Housing Management in 1996, Donal took up a position with Flax Housing Association in North Belfast. From there Donal has acquired 26 years direct experience working in social housing with 20 of those years at a senior management level. Donal became Chief Executive of Flax Housing Association in 2005 and in 2014 he became the Chief Executive of NB Housing.
He is responsible for delivering key strategic drivers to execute the association’s business, leadership and customer-focused objectives. His role is to support the Chair and the Board in determining and delivering the vision, strategy and direction of the association within robust controlled corporate governance arrangements.

Caroline Keenan-Jackson

Director of Housing & Corporate Services
Caroline has over 30 years social housing experience. Her career started with a Housing Association placement in London, before moving on to an executive role in Chicago. Since returning home to Northern Ireland she has worked in management positions within residential and supported accommodation before taking up her current position at NB Housing as Director of Housing & Corporate Services.
 As well as a BA Hons Degree and Diploma in Industrial Studies from UU, Caroline holds a Master of Social Science in Organisation and Management and a Certificate in Residential Management from QUB. Caroline is also an accredited Member of the Chartered Management Institute.

John Brooks joined NB Housing 2014, John began his career with BIH Housing Association and with over 25 years’ experience he has held various, housing, technical and managerial roles within the property development, maintenance & asset management environment. <br> Through these various roles he has gained significant experience in the areas of development. asset management, project management, and procurement.
